Baking Day

Molly brought the girls over to  help me

bake cookies.  What usually takes me about

2 days, took about 4 hours with this great

and pretty help.

I made stations for them like their favorite cooking shows

complete with aprons.

We got a little festive with Holiday stockings.

Andrea made the peanut butter kisses

Grace made lemon cookies and Oreo

balls.  We all helped with the caramels.

Can't go to FL without the ham

Ham and bean/split pea soup.  Ham sandwiches and

scalloped potatoes. Mmmm good.



Andrea's Swim Meet

We're so fortunate to be close to the grandkids now.

We enjoyed a day poolside at a swim meet.  Andrea took a personal

first and second and a team first and second.  Go Pelicans!

Trip to Nashville

The William R. Juday's went to

Nashville to celebrate Bill's 50 year

team reunion.  John joined Jan and the rest at

their team tailgate.

got to have lunch with my sweet Norma

and her blessing of a caregiver, Andrea.

Ed and I went to lunch in Germany

at Epcot

Coffee Clatch

Having our coffee outside this morning.

Doesn't get much better than this.

 

Florida trip

We stopped and spent the night in

a beautiful State Forest/Park in West Virginia.

It's Camp Creek near Beckley.

Homeless Days in Northern Michigan

We sold our home in South Lyon and spent 10 days up north with the whole Juday Clan.

Dinners, a trip to the UP and some outdoor chores made for an awesome vacation.

One more thing off my bucket list.  I've been to

all 5 lakes.

65 Years Young

My dear friends Toni and Roxanne

came over and surprised me with a cake

and artichoke dip.  They don't have to

go together, they just have to be your favorites.

Frankenmuth with Judy

My friend Judy from Cincinnati visited

this summer and we spent the day in Frankenmuth.

The kids visited this summer and everyone pitched in to make a pie.

 

 

Anthony Golf League

Anthony took golf lessons this summer and

used the new clubs his Uncle John bought

him for Christmas.

 

Loveless Cafe, TN Veterans Memorial Cemetery and The Parthenon

Fried chicken and biscuits. These tried and true Southern food staples

have been a part of Loveless Cafe’s history for more than sixty years.

In 1951, Lon and Annie Loveless began serving them

 right out the front door of their home to travelers

 who passed by on US Highway 100 in Nashville, Tennessee.

 

Originally built for Tennessee's 1897 Centennial Exposition,

The Parthenon stands proudly as the centerpiece of Centennial Park,

Nashville's premier urban park

                                                  

 

We also stopped at the Tennessee

Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

                                                

Stanley got to see some historical places

in Nashville today and so did we.

On the road again

Left Florida on the 9th of April

We spent our first night in Troy, AL before

heading on to Nashville.

Farewell Breakfast

I fixed breakfast outside this morning and

it was a beautiful morning.

 

 Stanley said he liked eating under the umbrella.

Farewell Party

John and Mona hosted a great farewell party.

 

We had plenty to eat and played some corn hole. 

 

They served Peameal Bacon sandwiches;

a Canadian treat.
