Anthony Basketball Game and Band Concert

Anthony had a busy week with his
first Basketball Game of this
season and his Christmas Band Concert.
#13 in your program, #1 in our hearts.
Good game Bud.

Couldn't stand up to get a better picture.
He plays the trumpet.  Nice job!

Wreaths Across America

Grace and I participated in the
Wreaths Across America project
at the Abraham Lincoln Nat'l Cemetery in Elwood, IL
Each year wreaths are placed at National Cemeteries to honor
and remember the service and sacrifice of our veterans.

This cemetery has 50,000 gravesites.  Over 13,000
wreaths were donated and over 500 volunteers
showed up on this snowy day to place them.
Warmed my heart to see so many young people and families
participating.

Aunt Maxine's 90th Birthday

Molly and I went to Aunt Maxine's
90th Birthday Party.  She is so young
at heart and lives alone in her own home.
She's the best!

This is the home my Dad grew up in, in Roseville, OH
I have some very fond memories of visiting my
Grandfather here.

We did a little genealogy trip through a couple
of cemetery's.  This is my grandparent's graves
in Rosehill Cemetery.
This is my great-grandparents grave at
Roseville Cemetery.

Trip to Nashville

Went to visit Erin, John and our
Nashville granddog, Maggie

We went to Leiper's Fork for breakfast.
This is the original Puckett's grocery
Leiper's Fork is a sweet little wide spot in
the road in rural TN.  It's home to some
of the Country Music stars and some nice little
shops.

1966 National Championship Homecoming Reunion

Back to East Lansing for homecoming
and a great time again with dear friends.
In 1966, the Spartans won a second National
Championship in Football; back to back from 1965.
Dinner on Friday night with Jim, Steve and Gail Juday

Photo op with the Dr. Defense, Henry Bullough

A new plaque was added outside the stadium
with the names of the 1966 team members.

The 1965 team plaque was recently updated.

#75 in your program, #1 in our hearts.
The concession stands are selling these
commemorative cups for the entire season
to honor this team.  Good show!

Steve Hall of Fame Weekend MSU

Our dear friend, Steve Juday, was inducted
into the Michigan State sports hall of fame; letter winner
in Football and Baseball.  Wonderful gathering of
family and friends.  Well deserved and long overdue.

Tailgate set up
We didn't let the loss to Wisconsin damper
our good time celebrating Steve.

Franklin Graham Rally, Indianapolis State Capitol

I went down to Indy today to attend a rally with
my friend Becky.  It was sponsored by Franklin Graham.
He toured the entire country this summer, stopping at every
capitol to pray for our nation and this election.
It was an honor to be there.  We sang some patriotic and religious
songs and prayed a lot.  He spoke briefly about our civic duties
and our obligation to this great nation and our God.
Thousands were in attendance.

We made a stop on our way home at the
historic Crown Hill Cemetery.
23rd President, Benjamin Harrison is
buried here..

Swim awards night

Andrea had a great swim season and
took home a lot of gold along with
her friend Megan

Wild West Trip Day 8

Morning coffee with one of THE prettiest
views and with a great friend.
Walking the dogs this morning.
Beth and I took Anthony to the pool.
Addie and Gus went to day camp.

Wade had a Credit Union meeting so
the rest of us enjoyed dinner in downtown
Boulder on a rooftop.
Heading home tomorrow.

Wild West Trip Day 7 Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park

Heading up the mountains
in the background we stopped in a meadow
to check out the wildlife.

We made it up to the Tundra above the
tree line and hiked a short distance to
over 12,000'
Anthony filled out a booklet on the things
he saw and experienced in the park
and swore to protect our National Parks, it's
wildlife and all environments by doing such things
as simple as recycling.
He was congratulated by a Ranger.
And, received his Junior Ranger Badge.
We stopped at this lovely Catholic Church
on our way down, out of the park.  There
was a lot of flood damage in this area
in 2011 and it won't be holding services
for another 10 years to be deemed stable.

We climbed up to the Jesus statue overlooking
this church.
Another picnic.
R & R for adults at Wade and Beth Payne's
home in Boulder.
Anthony and Tyler played a game of horse.
 Addie and Gus with Grandma.
 Beautiful sunset but unfortunately
a lot is because of the smoke from wildfires.
