Fourth of July

We went uptown for the parade and took

a stroll around the old Courthouse.  Crown Point

is the County Seat of Lake County.

John Fixed Breakfast this morning

 

 We met up with Bob, Katie and Dayton Juday

here in Nashville.  Dayton was playing

in a baseball tournament.

 

 Maggie, my other granddog.

 

Heading out this morning but had a great

weekend and they have a beautiful

Up North

Linda and I went with Steve across the lake to

check on "the property" and take a ride around

in the Kaboda

 

On our way home, we stopped to see

Craig and Pam.  They are living in their

motorhome and traveling around the country.

They have a lot in Northern Michigan and

we visited them there.  We met in FL but

won't see them this winter as they're going

out to AZ this year.  We'll miss them for sure.

 

Anthony and National Shoreline

Anthony came to spend the week with us

and we went to the Indiana

State Park on Lake Michigan

It was a beautiful day but choppy water.

Jim and Gail on their way Up North

Jim and Gail Juday also live in Tucson, AZ

and have a home in Central Lake, MI.  They

spent the night too on their last leg of the trip.

Memorial Day Crown Point

I attended the Memorial Day Service

at the Maplewood Cemetery this morning.

Met the sweetest two Veterans.

They grew up together here and enlisted

for WWII together before finishing high school.

The gentleman on the left is the former mayor

and presided over the ceremony...both 91 years young.

Bill and Katie Dawson stopped to spend

the night on their way back Up North to the

summer home they're building.  They also

have a home in Tucson, AZ.
