Happy New Year!

Nice fire and we were later
joined by a number of people here
in the community.

44th Wedding Anniversay

We got to Bradenton Beach on December 30th.
We had dinner at Sharky's.  Nice little restaurant within
walking distance.

Heading to Florida

All my bags are packed and ready to go.
Always take too much.  Should listen
to Aunt Mary; half the clothes, twice the money.
We drove to Chattanooga, TN the first day; 553 miles.
On to Ocala, FL; 484 miles.  Last day only 152 miles.
Ed did well on the new hip.

Christmas Day; presents!

I think everyone got what they wanted
from Santa this year
Andrea got a new very nice bookbag
among many other things.

Pop and Molly are going to
see James Taylor this summer.
Grace got a windshield cover
for her car.

John got the book Boys in the Boat
Anthony got a Gaming Recliner;
speakers and all.

And it was a Cubs Christmas for Rob.
He'll need that for shoveling snow this winter;
Anthony got one too.

Christmas Eve 2016

We all attended services at
Bethany Lutheran

Anthony Basketball Game and Band Concert

Anthony had a busy week with his
first Basketball Game of this
season and his Christmas Band Concert.
#13 in your program, #1 in our hearts.
Good game Bud.

Couldn't stand up to get a better picture.
He plays the trumpet.  Nice job!

Wreaths Across America

Grace and I participated in the
Wreaths Across America project
at the Abraham Lincoln Nat'l Cemetery in Elwood, IL
Each year wreaths are placed at National Cemeteries to honor
and remember the service and sacrifice of our veterans.

This cemetery has 50,000 gravesites.  Over 13,000
wreaths were donated and over 500 volunteers
showed up on this snowy day to place them.
Warmed my heart to see so many young people and families
participating.
